CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING

Season - All Year
Location - North East Scotland

'English Sporting' is the most popular form of clay pigeon shooting in Britain, providing a shooting environment that offers different layouts and constant challenge for participants.

To get started, guests will be given a one-to-one lesson from an instructor who is an experienced clay pigeon shot, including a full safety and gun handling briefing. Each guest will then have the chance to shoot a series of single clay pigeons, with cartridges and hearing protection provided under the supervision of your instructor.

We soon move onto a pairs or team event where several clays are fired into the air at the same time. Some clays moving faster than others and some going in different directions - in true 'English Sporting'' style. There may be one to four clays in the air at any one time, so as you can imagine it can get very exciting!

To add to the challenge and camaraderie of the day, we keep a score card for each individual and team so you can return home with a record to prove you shot a 'springing teal', 'settling pigeon' or 'driven grouse'- each type depending on how the clay moves through the air.

Many of our clients choose to add other activities to their itinery such as combining a morning session clay pigeon shooting with a bar-b-que lunch followed by trout fishing, quad biking or off-road driving. Click the options under "Days Out", on the left hand menu, for more information and to create your own tailored package.
