Scotland has world famous salmon rivers like
the Tweed, Tay, Spey and Dee, many of which have recently been reporting record
catches.
The River Spey and the River Dee are both located in the North
East of Scotland and are firm favourites with anglers from all over the
world. The Spey, known as the home of spey casting, is snow fed from the Cairngorm Mountains and
in a good year this can mean the river staying high until early June.
The River Dee is internationally famous
for its salmon fishing, especially so for its multi-sea winter spring
salmon, with anglers coming from all over the world to fish it.
Enjoy a day
on one of Scotland famous rivers with a rod and fly line, with expert advice
provided by a "ghille" who will guide you over the beat of the river, advice you
on where fish are likely to lie, the best tackle to use and - if you are lucky -
help you land a fish.
If you are new to fly fishing or would like to
practice your technique, why not spend a morning or afternoon with a fly casting
tutor to learn the finer art of the Spey cast, over head or double handed cast!
Lessons can be held in the relaxed surroundings of trout ponds with jetties to
aid casting before moving to the river. It's the perfect opportunity to improve fishing results and with
that, satisfaction and enjoyment for the angler.
