PHEASANT, PARTRIDGE & DUCK SHOOTING

Season - September to February
Location - North East Scotland

We are delighted to offer guests walked-up and driven game shooting in at a selected number of estates in the North East of Scotland, and further a field. Each venue offers the sportsman or woman a challenging mix of shooting across open farmland, woodland and heather moor.  From pheasant, duck and partridge shooting to mixed days, there is a wealth of opportunities for a wonderful day out in the countryside for both guns and their guests - whether they are shooting or spectating.

Driven days are generally for parties of 6-10 guns, and walked-up for groups of 2-4 guns, with game keepers, dog handlers and picker-uppers at hand to assist guns and their guests. There is always a sociable and friendly atmosphere on our days out, a unique camaraderie which seems to develop between friends and family who have a common interest in field sports and the countryside.

Of course a day out shooting is not complete without a warming en plein air picnic of homemade soup and local fare, followed by a leisurely dinner after the shoot in a local hotel or, for a more luxurious evening, in a castle. Why not sit back and while away the rest of the evening in the company of your party with a tutored whisky tasting followed by over night accommodation in one of our recommended hotels or estate lodges. It's the perfect way to end your day in the Scottish countryside.

If you are new to game shooting and would like to learn more, we can offer guests an introduction to the etiquette of game shooting, the different methods of shooting (walked-up / driven), types if quarry, what to wear and more. For very keen guns, we can even kit you out in tweeds! At all times, help and advice will be at hand from an estate gamekeeper or tutor.
