GUEST BOOK

Welcome to the Country Ways Sportings guest book. Here are some of our guests comments and experiences of their visit to Scotland.

A note of thanks for arranging a magnificent day's stalking last week. We had an excellent time and were very well looked after by the stalker and gillie. At the end of the day we had three hinds but more importantly the stunning surroundings and the company were what really made the day. Minmore was also great, though we need to go on a serious diet now after the size of the meals! But the food was outstanding and we hope to make many return visits. My thanks again.

What a joy to find Country Ways - Every aspect of our trip was taken care of. From the moment the personalised holiday plan/quotation arrived I knew we were being looked after by a very professional outfit. The holiday was a complete success due in no small part to the efficiency of Country Ways. Then fly Fishing with Yuri, our Ghillie. This was my eldest sons first attempt at fly fishing and with the excellent coaching from Yuri, within the hour he had his first 3lb rainbow trout. The day was a complete success with everyone having an excellent time. Next day...Quad biking was great fun. Clay shooting - first time for my sons and it turned out, with Yuri's coaching, my sons are excellent shots which put me under pressure! B-B-Q and some fishing - Fantastic day. Minmore House Hotel was one of the best places we have ever stayed, After a very long drive the welcome was wonderful and immediately put us all at ease. So relaxing and exactly what we wanted. Food was superb, even my sons who are fussy eaters wanted to eat there every night!
Nigel Jones. London. July 2006

We have enjoyed our visit a lot and have had a great experience. The stalking was really good and the accommodation even better. The Scottish landscape made the stalking even more spectacular and the gamekeepers had lot of interest in our stalking. What we didn’t expect is to have such a good chef in UK !! It was much better than in Spain …!
L. Calderon Escatllar and guests, Spain - June 2006 - Roe buck stalking in Speyside

An excellent day out, very friendly team and accommodated all our guests, old & young! The 4x4 Driving had a good range of obstacles and excellent advise on how to cope with them all. Quad Biking - Excellent tuition and good tracks for getting the most out of the fast bikes. Go Kart Passenger Ride  We just couldn't prise our lad (or Bob) out of the cart so that should be an indication of how much he enjoyed it.
P.Smith, Aberdeen - April 2006 - The Speyside Experience

A very efficient friendly customer orientated experience. The 4x4 Driving was a birthday surprise for my Wife and  it was the perfect gift to allow her to realise a long held ambition made all the more enjoyable by the friendly and very humorous instructor Bob who put Christine immediately at her ease. Thank you.
Mr & Mrs Lane, Aberdeen - March 2006 - 4x4 Driving

On behalf of all of us I would like to thank you for the fantastic time we had on Saturday. We thoroughly enjoyed every part of the day and were made to feel very welcome by everyone involved. Many thanks to yourself, Innes, Bob and Andy for making our inaugural visit to Speyside a memorable one. Here's to many more! (I'm currently having a wee dram)
D. Hodgson & Guests - February 2006 - The Speyside Experience

Service provided by Country Ways Sportings: The friendliest service in the Northeast; both outings exceeded my expectations, and I sent my guest home to Cumbria extremely happy, having had 2 very different but great days out. Day 1 - Very professional and friendly service. Lot's of Roe observed, but stalking on the day was difficult due to a very heavy frost (all movement was noisy).
Day 2 - My days Hind Stalking on this estate will be something I remember for the rest of my life; the world famous royal estate is set within the magnificent scenery of Royal Deeside, in the shadows of Lochnagar. The stalking was exceptional, with the Stalker’s being friendly and welcoming, as well as extremely professional. We were followed at a distance by a pair of ponies and there handler, who were called up after a shot had been taken to carry the carcasses; we had a little luck on our side, but had shot 5 Hinds by lunch which reached the ponies carrying capacity. Rather than finishing the day, we were then given a Landrover tour of the estate, with the highlight being a close encounter with a golden eagle. What a day!!
P. Savage - Aberdeen - November 2005 - Deer Stalking

We had a wonderful weekend in Glenlivet, and enjoyed the clay pigeon shooting and specially the quad riding. At home we don't drink beer because we started drinking Glenlivet Malt. The compliment to Minmore House, the level of cooking is certainly one Michelin Star. And waking up at 6 o clock with violin music from our private musician was TOP.

Many thanks to Rosemary for the Speyside experience...you are the best. Minmore House, great hospitality, high class cooking. We will recommend them to Michelin, the cooking is certainly one star. We will come back!

  • Thank you very much for a wonderful day on Friday; great company, great locations, great birds, great dogs, great lunch, great weather, thoroughly ace….

  • Just wanted to drop you a line to say many thanks for Friday. A great day out and I really enjoyed it. My first grouse, good company and watching the pointers work was a delight.

  • Just wanted to say thanks for a really outstanding day on Friday. It has to be one of the most enjoyable shoots EVER! Which all goes to show that it’s not about how many birds we shoot. Rosemary, June and Dick were all excellent, both in what they do and as company, and it was a particular treat to see June working the dogs – such a skill.

  • A great day, in great company and surroundings with super sport, Scotland at its BEST, international standard of service which we can be proud off. Well done Rosemary...Already planning next years sport for 06 .....
    R. Crowe and Guests - Aberdeenshire - September 2005 - Grouse Shooting

Great communication - clear and prompt. The whole experience was hassle free - everyone has been really friendly and helpful! For our deer stalking outing, we were met by a really nice gamekeeper who delivered a great service. Everything was clearly explained and all questions were answered. Both of us really liked his company.
M. Tollefsen - Aberdeen - September 2005 - Deer Stalking

There was a good effort to please from the outset. The deer stalking outing in Speyside was good and a conscientiousness from the gamekeeper which is quite rare.
B. A J Middlemiss - London - July 2005 - Deer Stalking

Our day was very well organised and run by Country Ways Sportings. The clay pigeon shooting was very good and the off road driving was great fun, even when I got the land rover stuck! The trout fishing has a lovely location, very peaceful. The trout was even taken home and eaten last night...and was delicious! Nice selection of food on the BBQ, all fresh and tasty.
E. House - Horsham - July 2005 - A Day in the Country

The deer stalking outing was set up extremely clearly and professionally. The information on the quote and booking confirmation was very good and the sporting activities first class. Extremely friendly and professional service.
