LADIES DAY

Season - All Year
Location - North East Scotland

Ladies, have you ever dreamt of swapping the phone line for a fishing line, or drive off road rather than drive the school run? Well here's your chance. Leave the other half at home and spend a day or two with Country Ways Sportings in Scotland to be wined and dined, shopped until till you drop and, in between all of that, learn the finer art of a country sport or two.

Whatever your interest, be it clay pigeon shooting, archery or off road driving, we can provide full instruction and guidance depending on the sport in question. Don't worry about strength or stamina, with many country sports it's the patience to learn which are key...one of the reasons why its thought that women catch more fish than men!

If you are feeling adventurous, why not learn to cast a line over one of Scotland's famous salmon rivers (...in true "A River Runs Through It" style), or head into the hills in search of a red stag or a brace of grouse. Experienced fishing instructors (ghillies) or game keepers will show show you the necessary skills of field craft and ensure you have an enjoyable day.

After a morning in the fresh country air, it will soon be time for a well deserved lunch of Scottish fare, provided as a luxury picnic hamper, or in an estate lodge or local hotel.

If you are still game after lunch (excuse the pun) we hit the shops and local attractions such as castles, art galleries, or a whiskey distillery. There are some fabulous shops hidden away along the back roads of Scotland with local produce such as cashmere, woolens, fine foods and crafts. If you are feeling particularly extravagant, we will take you to the studio and gallery of the renowned Scottish silversmith, Malcolm Appleby. An experience in its own right!

Accommodation, transport and catering can also be provided on your behalf.

Ladies Day is the ideal package for corporate events, hen parties or for special weekends away.
