The latest additions to the Country Ways pointer pack
June 2006

Introducing Sally and Bee. Two of the German pointer pups we decided to keep from our litter earlier this Spring. It will be a few years before this pair of scally wags are ready for day out with our guests on the grouse moor though!

What a Catch!
November 2005
The Scotland on Sunday voted our favourite fly fisher, Yuri Janssen, as the 36th most Eligible bachelor in Scotland in 2005. His 'profile' mentioned that Yuri devotes his life to country pursuits. He spent eight years working at the MalaMala game reserve in South Africa, where he became camp manager. Now he is studying for a geography degree in Aberdeen. He divides his time between the city and Glenlivet, where his family run a hotel and he takes guests fly-fishing.
Pluses Yuri is fearless and his love of the wilderness is legendary.
Minuses He used to be an avid snake collector. As a boy, he had 32 of them, including a python called Monty.
Favourite films "Out of Africa and A River Runs Through It - a fly-fishing classic."
Nothing is sexier than... "A good-looking woman in tweeds."
Well done Yuri! No1 this year perhaps?!

Congratulations to Chris and Sam...6 more pointers and counting...
